GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Greenville County dispatchers said the Spinx on North Pleasantburg Drive was robbed overnight.

It happened about 4:15 a.m. Wednesday. Dispatchers said the robber told the clerk he had a weapon. They said he later fled on foot.

The clerk told dispatchers the robber was wearing a burgundy shirt. The clerk was not hurt in the robbery.

The store closed down for almost two hours while deputies investigated.

Deputies have not released any information about the robbery.

Employees at a nearby business said the convenience store was also robbed last week.
