Dad accused of abducting son arrested

BURNSVILLE, NC (FOX Carolina) -

Burnsville police said they have arrested a man accused of abducting his son after he and the boy were found safe.

Jeremy Christopher was wanted on a warrant for abduction of children.

Police said Christopher took his son, Gage, on Wednesday morning. Officials said they did not believe the boy was in danger, and an Amber Alert was not issued.

Christopher was being held at the Yancey County jail.
