Bostic teen accused of killing father

RUTHERFORDTON, NC (FOX Carolina) -

Rutherford County deputies said a Bostic teen turned himself in Wednesday after being indicted in the shooting death of his father.

Deputies said that Brian Herman died at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center on Jan. 31 after being shot the day before at his home on Bostic Sunshine Highway.

Investigators said that a grand jury indicted Herman's son, 16-year-old Brian "Coty" Herman, on a charge of murder.

The teen was being held at the Rutherford County jail on $50,000 bond.
