Tonight we have seen some high clouds cover our skies, and showers are slowly getting closer from west to east. Atlanta got a good soaking around the evening commute, and we'll have the chance of a few showers for late tonight and tomorrow morning.
Tomorrow will be a very warm day once again. We'll start with some clouds and scattered showers, then partly cloudy skies will dominate for the afternoon. Highs will quickly jump into the 80s area-wide, then during the peak heat of the day we'll get a few pop-up t-storms. About a 30% chance for rain.
This weekend is looking warm, humid and a bit unsettled. Highs will reach the mid to upper 80s both Saturday and Sunday, plus we'll have a threat of late day showers and storms. The high pressure ridge that has been controlling out weather will slowly breakdown, allowing for some disturbances to move through and bring the storm activity. A weak front will pass through late Sunday, which will lead to a cooler Monday! Then, a second front moves in mid-week, which will keep the threat of storms with us until late Wednesday.
By Thursday into Friday, temperatures should be a little more "normal" for this time of year! In the meantime, the excessive spring heat will stick around. Therefore, if you are headed to any of the spring festivals going on across our area, or maybe participating in Hands on Greenville Day, you'll want to stay hydrated and take a lot of breaks in the shade!
