The new program is free of upfront enrollment costs, and free of monthly service dues. It allows booksellers to establish a professional online web store and sell their own products online. Booksellers can also sell the full catalog of in stock product from Baker & Taylor Distributors as well as Ingram Book Distributors. The primary difference between DCM’s standard paid bookstore option and the free bookstore option is telephone support –free stores are not eligible for phone support but are eligible to access all online support community forums and FAQ’s. The two programs share most other features in common.
Service is available to all booksellers, whether they are members of the American Booksellers Association (ABA) or not. A special Christian edition of the free store program is also available to religious booksellers. Churches, ministries, and religious non-profit groups are eligible for free stores online in a different format.
