CALHOUN FALLS, SC (FOX Carolina) -
The Calhoun Falls Police Department said Chief Mike Alewine turned in his resignation on Friday after serving the city for 22 years.
The Police Department said Alewine's resignation came after disputes with city officials.
Lt. Michael Johnson is now serving as the interim police chief. The Abbeville County Sheriff's Office is assisting the department until more hires can be made.
