Good morning! I hope you all had a great weekend and were able to get some rest - it was definitely an action-packed weekend with Cinco de Mayo, HOG Day, Kentucky Derby and all sorts of spring festivals and sports games.
We'll ease into the week with a mix of clouds and sun, as well as near-normal temperatures. That's right, I said NORMAL! After our near-record highs last week, these "typical" highs will provide some relief. Highs will rise to near 80 degrees in the Upstate, while the Mountains will see highs in the mid 70s.
A few scattered showers and storms will develop this afternoon and evening. Like the weekend days, many spots will stay dry today - but any storms have the potential to bring some heavy downpours and frequent lightning.
A cold front will approach Tuesday and push through our region on Wednesday, keeping high rain and t-storm chances in the forecast those days. By the end of the week we'll enjoy sunshine and dry time - so if you're looking for days to get some outdoor activities done, Thursday and Friday will be great! Highs stay near, if not a bit below-normal, through the rest of the week.
