CALHOUN FALLS, SC (FOX Carolina) -
A Calhoun police officer has resigned according to interim chief Lieutenant Michael Johnson. Lt. Johnson wouldn't release any details about the officer's resignation including the officer's name.
The officer's resignation comes five days after Calhoun Falls Police Chief Mike Alewine quit after serving the city for 22 years.
The Police Department said Alewine's resignation came after disputes with city officials.
Both resignations come just weeks after Calhoun Falls City Councilman Charlie Tillman was arrested and charged with driving under the influence. Tillman was arrested back on April 16 after he was pulled over for speeding.
