COLUMBUS, NC (FOX Carolina) -
Former Polk County Sheriff Chris Abril was arrested during the weekend, according to the Spartanburg Herald-Journal.
The newspaper reported that Abril was arrested Saturday, and charged with using a stolen credit card. The paper reported that the alleged crimes happened between March 21 and April 19. He was released from jail on $32,000 bond.
Abril has faced multiple charges since 2006, including statutory rape, solicitation of a minor, driving while intoxicated and probation violation.
He resigned as sheriff in 2008.
