Michael Jones (Union Co. Sheriff's Office)
UNION, SC (FOX Carolina) -
A Cherokee County jailer was arrested early Thursday morning after his girlfriend said he pointed a gun at her.
Union County deputies said they were called to an intersection in Jonesville and spoke with a woman who said her boyfriend, identified as 43-year-old Michael Jones, pointed a gun at her during an argument.
Deputies said they went to the couple's home and spoke with Jones who denied pointing the gun. They said a gun matching the description given by Jones's girlfriend was found on a counter in the kitchen.
Jones was charged with criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature. He was being held at the Union County jail.
