INMAN, SC (FOX Carolina) -
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a one-vehicle crash that killed the driver.
It happened Sunday night on John Dodd Road just east of Inman around 10:30 p.m.
Troopers said the driver was heading east on John Dodd Road when the car ran off the right side of the road, went up an embankment and landed in a field.
Both the driver and passenger were wearing seatbelts.
Troopers said the passenger was taken to Anmed Hospital. Her condition is unknown.
The Spartanburg County Coroner's Office said the driver, 59-year-old Monoree Davis of Spartanburg, died as a result of natural causes, not because of the crash.
