Police: Lyman man solicited sex with child via Craigslist

ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Anderson police said they arrested a Lyman man who used Craigslist to solicit sex from someone who he thought was a child.

Richard Burch, 30, was arrested Tuesday and charged with criminal solicitation of a minor and second-degree attempted criminal sexual conduct with a minor.

Police said that Burch used an ad on Craigslist, a popular classifieds website, to solicit sex from a person he thought was a child.

If convicted, Burch faces up to 30 years in prison.
