Greenville County deputies have been busy investigating five armed robberies of local pharmacies in less than a month.
Deputies said they believe at least three suspects are responsible for the past five armed robberies. They have not said if they believe the suspects are working together or not.
Most recently, investigators said the CVS at 2446 Hudson Rd. was robbed Tuesday about 7:30 p.m. Deputies said a male, 5'4" to 5'5", 160 to 180 pounds, with short brown hair, wearing a black shirt and ball cap entered the CVS and approached the pharmacy counter.
The unknown suspect gave a note to the clerk demanding prescription narcotics and displayed a handgun tucked in his waistband, according to the incident report.
Deputies said the first robbery happened on April 25 at the CVS on West Blue Ridge Drive. On May 1, the CVS at 1141 State Park Rd. was robbed, deputies said.
Four days later on May 5 the CVS on East North Street was robbed, and on May 11 the Walgreens at 1 The Parkway was robbed.
During the E. North Street robbery, deputies said the 20- to 30-year-old, 6-foot suspect, weighing about 150 pounds, entered the CVS to get a narcotic prescription by implying he had a weapon. Employees denied the suspect the drugs, and he fled the store.
Deputies have only identified one suspect in two of the robberies.
They said five arrest warrants were obtained for 38-year-old Albert Couch Jr. of Marietta in connection with the State Park Road and West Blue Ridge Drive CVS robberies. Couch is described as a white male, 5'7" to 5'8", between 250 and 285 pounds.
Anyone with information as to Couch's whereabouts or the other suspects are asked to contact the Greenville County Sheriff's Office or Crime Stoppers at 23-CRIME.
