ASHEVILLE, NC (FOX Carolina) -
Buncombe County deputies said a man held up a Candler insurance office at gunpoint Tuesday afternoon.
The robbery happened about 5 p.m. at Candler General Insurance at 1403 Smoky Park Hwy.
Deputies said a man with a gun walked into the business and demanded money. They said he fled the scene after he was given a sum of cash. They said witnesses saw another man outside the business who helped the robber get away.
The robber was described as white, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and a blue bandana over his face. His accomplice was described as black, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt that was pulled up over part of his face.
