GAFFNEY, SC (FOX Carolina) -
Three people were arrested Monday after Cherokee County deputies said they found a methamphetamine lab inside a room at a Gaffney inn.
Deputies said they were called to the Shamrock Inn about 3:30 p.m. by someone who said drugs were being made in one of the rooms.
Investigators said that arriving deputies smelled the odor associated with a methamphetamine lab and noticed tubes poking out one of the windows to vent the gases.
Deputies said that when they knocked on the door, 33-year-old Jamie Martin, of Blacksburg, answered the door. They said they found materials in the room that are commonly associated with the production of methamphetamine.
Martin, along with two other people in the room, 25-year-old Halie Gregory and 36-year-old Felicia Caldwell, both of Gaffney, were arrested in connection with the drug lab.
All three were charged with manufacturing methamphetamine.
Martin was also charged with possession of a schedule-controlled substance.
