Acupuncture is an ancient form of Chinese medicine that has been used for thousands of years. It is being used more frequently in conventional medicine for decreasing pain, inflammation and muscle spasms along with increasing range of motion in painful joints. Some insurance companies are now reimbursing for acupuncture treatment.

Treatment by one of Arizona Pain's certified Chandler acupuncture, Glendale or Scottsdale acupuncture practitioners can provide significant pain relief for such problems as acute neck or low back pain, sciatica, and arthritis flare ups. There is an acupuncture provider at every AZ pain center location and same day appointments are often available.

The World Health Organization has published a list of over 40 disorders for which acupuncture is indicated. These include back pain, rheumatoid arthritis, tennis elbow, sciatica, headaches, migraines, trigeminal neuralgia, and many more.

According to Arizona Pain Network CEO David Greene, "Acupuncture has been shown in many research studies to be a low risk, effective treatment for a lot of pain problems. Arthritis both for the 'wear and tear' kind and rheumatoid respond well to it. Along with the other comprehensive pain management treatments offered at Arizona Pain, acupuncture fits in well in getting patients free of pain and off medications."

Appointments may be made with the acupuncture providers at Arizona Pain by calling (602) 507-6550.
