A Greenville woman was arrested after troopers said she hit a bicyclist and ran from the scene early Saturday morning.

Richard Barbery, 50, of Greenville was riding his bike about midnight on East Bramlett Road when a car hit him from behind then left the scene, troopers said.

The Greenville County Coroner said Barbery died about 2 a.m. from blunt force trauma.

Troopers said 44-year-old Carolyn McCoy was being held at the Greenville County Detention Center on charges of leaving the scene of a deadly accident and driving under suspension.
