A cold front is moving into our area tonight and will linger for a couple of days. The front will act as a focus for showers and storms this evening, tomorrow midday-evening and there will even be a few storms left for Wednesday afternoon (mainly for the mountains). A ridge of high pressure will build in for Thursday-Sunday, as highs get to around 90 in the Upstate with mostly dry conditions! Monday, Memorial Day, could be a little wet. It's a little early to call, but it looks like we could be looking at the development of another coastal low and possibly some tropical moisture. At this point I'm only going with about a 30% chance of rain for the holiday! That could get higher or lower over the next few days.
The same cold front bringing us some stormy weather through Wednesday will help to steer Alberto out into the Atlantic. Along the South Carolina, Georgia and North Carolina coasts we'll be watching for high waves and rip currents, but no real impacts other than that!
