GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -
Officials said mold was found in three rooms at a Greenville County school Monday, prompting them to close off that part of the school.
Berea Middle School Principal Robin Mill said a spot of mold was found behind a bookcase in a storage room. She said air quality tests were conducted, which found mold in the custodial storage room and the in-school suspension room as well.
Tests found the mold was not airborne and posed no threat to students or staff, Mill said.
Mill said because of the finds, the entire section of the building where the mold was found has been closed for the remainder of the school year.
Cleanup of the mold will begin after the last day of school, Mill said.
