SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Mr. Waffle Truck Stop employees said a Spartanburg woman was trying to pick up male customers Thursday night, deputies said.

Truck stop employees told deputies they asked 22-year-old Emma Barnette to leave several times after she approached male customers asking for money and what they were doing for the night, according to a Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office report.

Deputies said at one point, Barnette walked into the men's restroom and stayed for about 15 minutes.

When deputies arrived about 9:30 p.m., they said Barnette appeared to be under the influence of something because she was unsteady on her feet and her speech was slowed. She told deputies she recently got out of jail for a crack-cocaine charge, the report said.

Barnette told deputies that she went into the men's restroom by mistake and denied soliciting men for money, the report said.

The restaurant asked that Barnette be removed from the property, deputies said. She was arrested and charged with trespassing after notice.
