A Boiling Springs woman was arrested Sunday morning after Spartanburg County deputies said she cut her husband with a box cutter.
According to an incident report, about 2 a.m. the couple was riding in a car on Highway 9 when they got into an argument.
The report said that Heather Mace, 25, told deputies that she and her husband were riding with a friend, and the friend cut her husband. The report said that Mace's husband told deputies that Mace was the one who slice his neck and face with the blade.
Mace's husband said she threw the box cutter out of the window after the attack, according to the incident report.
Mace was charged with attempted murder. She was being held at the Spartanburg County jail on $10,000 bond.
In 2007 and 2009, Mace was charged with domestic violence and assault.
Mace's husband was last reported to be in the intensive care unit at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
