SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A Spartanburg man was shot in the butt as two men tried to rob him in this driveway Saturday, police said.

Spartanburg Public Safety officers were called to a Caulder Avenue home abut 12:20 a.m. after the victim's girlfriend reported he had been shot in their driveway.

The victim told police he had just pulled into his driveway, which is in the rear of his house, when two unknown, armed men approached him as he was about to get his 21-month-old son out of the his carseat. The man locked his car and walked towards his house, police said.

The two men pointed guns in the victim's face, one of which had a red laser on the gun, and followed him to his back door, police said. According to the police report, one suspect said "give it all up," and the victim said he thought they would try to enter his house.

Then one of the men fired one shot at the victim, hitting him in the left buttock, police said.

The victim's girlfriend came to the door at that moment as the suspects ran away and she never saw them, the report said. They fled without taking anything from the victim, police said.

The two suspects were between 20 and 22 years old, one was wearing a black ski mask while the other was wearing a green ski mask, and both were wearing black T-shirts and blue jean pants, police said.

Police said the first suspect was described as being tall and thin at approximately 6 feet tall and weighing between 160 and 170 pounds, while the other suspect was described as being shorter, heavier and ''chubbier'' at approximately 5' 10" and weighing 200 pounds.

The victim was transported to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center's trauma unit, police said.

Police have not identified the suspects and no arrests have been made. Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to Crime Stoppers at 888-CRIME-SC.
