Police: Central man used Craigslist to solicit sex from child

ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Anderson police said a Central man used an ad on Craigslist to solicit sex from someone he thought was a child.

Joshua Collins, 21, was arrested Saturday and charged with criminal solicitation of a minor and second-degree attempted criminal sexual conduct with a minor.

Police said that an undercover officer answered Collins' ad on the popular classifieds website. They said Collins then arranged to meet the officer for sex. They said Collins was arrested when he arrived at the meeting place.

Collins was being held in jail on $100,000 bond.

If convicted, Collins faces up to 30 years in prison.

Police: Central man used Craigslist to solicit sex from child
