The Atlanta Braves took Wofford pitcher Alex Wilson in the 15th round. Wilson was 479th overall selection and second straight season the Braves have picked a Wofford pitcher in the 15th round. He was second on the team with a 3.61 ERA on the season.

Spartanburg Methodist College's Bruce Caldwell was also chosen on day two of the MLB draft. A shortstop for the Pioneers, Caldwell was selected in the 14th round as the 480th overall pick by the St. Louis Cardinals.

While none were taken in the first round, several Gamecocks were drafted Tuesday. The first South Carolina player chosen was Christian Walker, who was selected in the fourth round as the 132nd overall pick in the draft by the Baltimore Orioles.

Matt Price was picked in the seventh round as the 222nd overall pick by the Baltimore Orioles.

Evan Marzilli was selected in the eighth round as the 273rd overall pick by the Arizona Diamondbacks. Michael Roth was selected in the ninth round as the 297th overall pick by the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

Several other players from across South Carolina have been taken in the draft, including Dillon High School pitcher Jamie Callahan, who was taken in the second round by the Boston Red Sox, and players at Coastal Carolina University and the College of Charleston.

The 2012 MLB draft will finish Wednesday with the final rounds 16 through 40.
