Emergency crews mill about the scene of a fatal crash in southern Greenville County. (June 6, 2012/FOX Carolina)BELTON, SC (FOX Carolina) -
One person was killed in a crash in Greenville County on Wednesday afternoon.
The crash happened about 3:40 p.m. near the intersection of U.S. Highway 25 and Taylor Road.
Troopers said a garbage truck was traveling north on Highway 25 when a pickup truck pulled out in front of it. They said the pickup truck was hit on the driver's side, killing the driver.
On Thursday, Greenville County Coroner Jeff Fowler said Everett Turner, 63, of Gray Court was not wearing his seatbelt in the fatal crash and died at the scene.
The driver of the garbage truck was not injured. There were no other passenger's in Turner's truck.
