Greer man killed in Pelham Road crash

A car crashed through bushes along Pelham Road at Riley Smith Road Friday. (June 8, 2012/FOX Carolina)

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A Greer man was killed in a Greenville County crash Friday morning.

The driver was headed west along Pelham Road when the car ran off the left side of the road near Riley Smith Road, hit some trees and overturned, troopers said.

Troopers said the driver, identified by the Greenville County Corner's Office as 30-year-old Christopher Slusser, was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the vehicle. Slusser was pronounced dead at the scene, troopers said.
