ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -
There are many options to conceal your weapon if you are carrying it. However, some women said it's a challenge. There just aren't a lot of options in stores for women who want to carry and conceal.
The main complaint is that most holsters just don't fit a woman's curves. But, there are a few options online and a new product called the flash blast bra holster. It clips to the center of the bra and most women say it comfortably conceals a gun.
Another option is a thigh holster.
"If you are wearing a dress you don't have any other place to put it unless you are carrying it in your purse," said Leanne McBride, who owns the Wedding Tradition in Anderson.
Sheriff John Skipper understands the problem.
"Especially in the summer time it becomes an issue with people wearing the shorts and the tank tops and things like this. But, the law defines it as being concealed and it really should be on you so that it's not imprinted in your clothes," Skipper said.
So even if you can see the weapon bulging out of your pocket or hip, that's a problem. That's another reason why specialized holsters can be helpful.
