UNION, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Police have charged the same Spartanburg man accused of robbing a Union Burger King with robbing a nearby Taco Bell.

Kenneth George Jr., 32, was charged with strong arm robbery in connection with the May 12 robbery of the KFC/Taco Bell on the North Duncan Bypass, Union police said.

George was arrested following the May 19 robbery of the Burger King down the street where police said he ordered two Whopper Jr.'s, gave the clerk $5.50 to pay for his meal, and when the clerk went to make change, he reached across the counter, grabbed $120 from the open register and ran.

Following George's initial arrest, police said they were looking at him as a suspect in connection with the KFC/Taco Bell theft.

During the KFC/Taco Bell robbery, police said George ordered two KFC snackers totaling $2.57 and handed the cashier $5. Police said when she opened the register he grabbed $640 in cash, then ran out of the restaurant.
