ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Firefighters said a one-person plane crashed and flipped upside down while landing at the Anderson Airport on Saturday.

Firefighters who were at the scene of the crash said it was a scary sight but were thankful no one was injured.

The pilot told firefighters that he lost all power to the plane's engine, causing it to glide. The plane landed off of the runway in the grass, after the plane flipped.

The pilot escaped the crash unharmed with only minor damage to the plane, though a half gallon of fuel leaked out, firefighters said.

There is no word on what caused the plane's engine to lose power.
