Marines stationed at Camp LeJeune in North Carolina are gearing up to head for a summer break at Lake Keowee.

Starting at 2:30 p.m. Monday, hundreds of motorcyclists including the Special Forces Marines will be on bikes and will travel in an escorted ride from the JC "Red" Owens Sports Complex in Easley to a fun and relaxing weekend in Seneca.

People of the Upstate are asked to come out along the route and honor the Marines and other veterans who will go on the ride.

The tour will first go on Highway 93, then onto Highway 123 then Highway 130 all the way to Lake Keowee at Duke Energy's World of Energy.

From there, the Marines will have an amazing week at the lake that includes boating, fishing and swimming.
