PICKENS, SC (FOX Carolina) -
Pickens County deputies said two men who robbed a Pickens bank Monday were arrested after a chase.
The robbery happened about 4:45 p.m. at the Bank of America branch at 334 E. Main St.
Pickens police said one male entered the bank, gave the teller a note demanding money. They said he left the bank on foot and fled in a red pickup truck towards Easley.
Deputies said about a half-hour after the robbery, they spotted the truck believed to have been used as the getaway vehicle in the robbery. They said the truck was chased into Easley, where they were able to stop it with the help of Easley police.
During the chase, deputies said the truck made a right along Grace Avenue and drove through someone's yard.
When they were stopped, deputies said the men fled on foot but could only get about 30 yards away before they were caught. Deputies said they found cash and clothing inside the truck, that was reportedly stolen from Greenville County.
The two men inside the truck were arrested. Deputies identified the driver as Vincent Missouri, 47, of Piedmont and the other suspect as Bobby Wright, 44, of Greenville.
Both were charged with armed robbery by Pickens police while deputies charged Missouri with failure to stop and possession of stolen vehicle. Deputies said the robbery was still under investigation.
Missouri's bond was set at $100,000 while Wright's was set at $50,000 in court Tuesday morning.
