GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -
Greenville City police officers said a pedestrian walking along Haywood Road, near the Interstate 385 interpass, was hit Monday around 8 p.m.
Officers said one person was hit when a driver at the light on Haywood Road looked to see if the path in front of the vehicle was clear. That's when officers said a pedestrian crossed in front of the vehicle and was struck.
The pedestrian was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Officers said the driver was charged with failure to yield to a pedestrian.
