When they were born, 2-year-old Chihuahua mix Whiskers and her sister, 3-year-old Chopper did not have any front legs.

Needless to say, it was tough for them to run, play, eat, sleep, everything.

They eventually arrived at the Spartanburg Humane Society, and when people of the Upstate learned of their condition, they raised money through the Guardian Angel fund.

The fund was started by the humane society to help pay for physical and behavioral class and equipment. The donations paid for $400 custom-built wheel chairs for the two dogs.

Now, Chopper and Whiskers are looking for a home, and they can be adopted at the Humane Society for $85 each.

Because of their physical difficulties, their will be an application process so they can find the perfect home.

The humane society said Whiskers is a little shy when meeting new people, but once she gets comfortable, she enjoys snuggling and has a playful side. Due to her shy nature, Whiskers is looking for a home with older children, over the age of 10.

Choppers is active, playful and loves a good snuggle. The humane society said she lived with children in her last home and got along well with them and the family's other dogs and cats well.

The adoption fees include spay/neuter surgery, micro-chipping and other medical services.
