Police said a Union 19-year-old broke into Union County High School on Friday and stole a small tractor.

Union police said Devaion Davis, along with an unidentified juvenile, broke into the school located on Lakeside Drive and took the Bobcat worth more than $2,000.

Union County deputies said Davis took the Bobcat and tried to sell it at a scrap yard on Callihan Road on Monday. The scrap yard owner said he knew something was up and notified deputies that Davis had the Bobcat, deputies said.

Deputies spoke with police who said they found an opened fence at the school where the Bobcat was reportedly stolen.

Davis was arrested and charged by police with grand larceny more than $2,000 and third-degree burglary while deputies charged him with obtaining property under false pretense. His bond was set at $25,000.
