Jonathan Johnson and Jonathan Davis told FOX Carolina they decided to walk down Beaumont Avenue in Spartanburg Monday night to go to the store.
"We were going to the store and I see my buddy Kaleb," said Johnson.
Their buddy Kaleb was outside a home on Beaumont Avenue and the two men walked up to talk with him. That's when things suddenly took a turn for the worse.
"Some lady comes out the house asking if we were starting trouble in her yard," said Johnson.
The Spartanburg police report said that was when things really got ugly.
"Her blinds were open and she flipped the bedroom light on. She went under the pillow and I seen her grab a gun," said Davis.
That's when the two told FOX Carolina that they ran for their lives.
"She came out the house shooting at us," said Johnson.
Spartanburg police said that the woman is Frankie King. She is charged with two counts of attempted murder and firearm use while under the influence.
"She shot once at us and once in the air," said Johnson.
A Spartanburg County judge denied her bond. That was something Johnson and Davis were glad to hear after they said they had to take cover and pray they would make it out alive.
"We laid in the bushes. My phone was dead, but laid in bushes until police came," said Johnson.
