ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Two people were sent to the hospital late Tuesday night after a woman slammed her car into her Anderson County neighbor's house, investigators said.

According to troopers, the driver backed out of the driveway across the street and went through a yard and into the home on Rolling Green Road off of Old Williamston Road.

When firefighters arrived on scene, they said they found one person trapped underneath the car and the driver still in the car. Firefighters said they had to worry about the structural integrity of the house as they rescued the victim.

"Our biggest concern was the house had some structural damage," Anderson County Fire Chief Billy Gibson said. "We were concerned about further collapse other than what the vehicle had caused. We called in the technical rescue team to shore up some of the building, so we could remove the patient."

Troopers said both the man who lives in the home and the driver were taken to the hospital and are expected to be OK.

The Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
