SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A Spartanburg mother was arrested Tuesday after deputies said they found her child in a home during a major drug bust where more than 4 grams of cocaine and 1,000 grams of marijuana were seized.

Spartanburg County deputies were called to a home located at 149 Princeton Street when narcotics investigators found the child inside the home while serving a search warrant.

Deputies said investigators and the SWAT team were searching the home because they believed there was a large amount of heroin being sold from the house.

Investigators used flash-bang grenades to enter the home - which emit a bright flash of light and loud noise - and once inside they saw the small child sitting next to her mother along with a large amount of a green, leafy substance next to them on the table.

As investigators searched the home, they said they found large amounts of various drugs.

The child was placed in protective custody and the mother, 22-year-old Summer Rhinehart, was arrested, along with three other men who were at the house, deputies said.

Deputies said the home became a target of a 4-month-long drug investigation after Duran Sherrod, 28, was seen coming to and from the home many times driving a black Mercedes.

When deputies arrived to execute the warrant, they said Quentin Douglas, 29, tried to flee on foot, but they caught him and also arrested Jamar Kennedy, 35.

Inside the home, investigators said they found more than 1,000 grams of marijuana, heroin, small wax envelopes and scales.

During the search, investigators said Douglas had $2,752 in cash on him and Sherrod had $1,286 in cash on him.

Inside the Mercedes, deputies said they found 3.1 grams of heroin and a Glock handgun with seven rounds in the glove box.

The home is located within a half mile of Duncan Park and Pine Street Elementary School.

Rhinehart was charged with possession with intent to distribute Schedule I, II or III drugs, possession with intent to distribute near a school, and child neglect. She was being held on a $5,000 bond.

Douglas was charged with possession with intent to distribute Schedule I, II or III drugs and possession with intent to distribute near a school. He was being held on a $10,000 bond.

Kennedy was charged with possession with intent to distribute Schedule I, II or III drugs, two counts of possession with intent to distribute near a school, and possession with intent to distribute heroin, a schedule I drug. He was being held on a $25,000 bond.

Sherrod was charged with six counts of possession with intent to distribute heroin, a schedule I drug; two counts of possession of a stolen weapon; one count of possession with intent to distribute Schedule I, II or III drugs; one count trafficking heroin more than 4 grams; and six counts of possession with intent to distribute near a school. He was being held on a $125,000 bond.
