GREER, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Greer police said they are looking for a man who drilled holes into an ATM on Tuesday morning, but stole nothing.

The attempted burglary happened about 1 a.m. at the Greenville Federal Credit Union at 107 W. Church St.

Police said that the security camera on the machine showed a white man wearing a paintball mask and a gray, long-sleeved shirt use a 1/4-inch drill bit to disable the camera. They said the man then used a 3/4-inch drill bit to bore three holes around the keypad and one below the keypad. They said the vault and safe of the ATM were also damaged by the drilling.

Investigators said that despite all the work, the man stole nothing from the machine.

Anyone with information about the case was asked to call the Greer Police Department at 864-848-5354.
