SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -
Spartanburg deputies said they were looking two men and a third unidentified suspect after a man was shot at, robbed and beat up Thursday.
Deputies said they were called to Tibbs Drive in Spartanburg about 2:20 p.m. after a man said he had been shot at while at his cousin's home on that road.
The man told deputies he had arrived at the house with his cousin, who got out of his SUV to go inside, and then a short time later came back out with another relative and an unknown man - who was carrying a semiautomatic gun pointed at the victim.
The three men pulled the man out of the truck where he was waiting, beat him up and robbed him at gunpoint, deputies said. Investigators said the men took $450 cash, his iPhone and bank card.
The victim told deputies he heard one of the men say, "Just shoot him," before they picked him up and stuffed him in the trunk of a gold Mercury that looks like the same style as a Crown Victoria.
As they drove away, deputies said the man was able to open the trunk latch and jump out of the car, running back up Tibbs Drive to find someone to call 911.
While waiting for deputies to arrive and hiding from the men, the victim and a neighbor said the suspects keep driving by the house. At one point, the suspects fired a shot at them, but it flew into the woods, deputies said.
Warrants were issued for two of the three men but they have yet to be located.
Markeiv Wyatt, 26, and Seuvarrggio Rector, 23, both of Taylors, are wanted for attempted murder, kidnapping and armed robbery.
Deputies said if anyone knows of their location or the identity of the third man, they are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 888-CRIME-SC.
