LOCKHART, SC (FOX Carolina) -
Union County deputies said a woman reported that she was raped Thursday afternoon by two unknown men who left her naked along a gravel road.
Deputies said the woman was home when two unknown males entered her house about 4:30 p.m. and knocked her unconscious. She told investigators she did not know what they knocked her out with.
Union County Sheriff David Taylor said the woman talked to her mom on the phone about 4 p.m. and thinks the attack might have happened about 4:30 p.m.
She woke up near the Lockhart dam, covered herself in mud and walked towards a Lockhart Power building where she found a phone, but it only direct-dials the power station, Taylor said.
She then tried to flag down a passing car, but no one would stop so she kept walking until she got to a home on Canal Road where she curled up in a fetal position on a front porch, investigators said.
Deputies said a woman at the home found her about 7:45 p.m., gave her a coat to wear and called 911. They said the woman was taken to a local hospital for treatment where she was later released to family.

Taylor said deputies are canvassing the woman's neighborhood to see if anyone saw or heard anything. They have set up a command center at Lockhart First Baptist Church.
Deputies said they do not know what her condition was prior to her release from the hospital.
The woman told deputies the men were two white males, one with dark hair who was approximately 5' 3" to 5' 5" tall and the other was about 6' tall with sandy blonde hair. They both had tattoos, but the woman could not describe them to deputies.
The woman's boyfriend told deputies that he had tried to contact her and stopped by her home about 6 p.m., and it had been ransacked. Taylor said he immediately got people together and started looking for her in the area, but he never called 911.
