SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -
A Spartanburg County man put up a deer cam to catch an alleged thief who he said has stolen metal from his property multiple times.
Jody Clary said after thieves hit his garage, he put up the camera and then captured a man tearing off the metal roof off the garage.
"This used to be a full, tin roof; they've stripped it down in five days, most of it yesterday," said Clary.
The surveillance was captured Wednesday morning and shows a bearded, shirtless man taking thousands of dollars worth of metal. Clary's home and garage sit in a secluded, wooded area that were left to him by his father who died in 2002.
