Knoxville dining landmark rated by diners as top choice for romance and special occasions.
Knoxville, TN (PRWEB) June 26, 2012
The Orangery, Knoxville’s premier fine dining restaurant specializing in French and international cuisine, was recently named to this year’s Diner’s Choice™ list by OpenTable, Inc., a leading provider of free, real-time online restaurant reservations and guest management solutions. The Orangery was selected based on reviews submitted by OpenTable diners. There are more than 10 million reviews annually for more than 12,000 restaurants in the U.S.
The restaurant, a Knoxville landmark for the last 40 years, has a colorful history and one that owner David Kiger wants to continue.
“This award is a special one because it directly correlates with our diners’ experiences and how they feel when they dine at The Orangery,” said Kiger. “We want to offer memorable dining experiences, from the moment customers come through our doors and take in our architectural and design elements to the last bite of each meal our chef prepares for them. We are committed to excellence and this ranking shows us that diners recognize that.”
The Orangery’s main-floor dining rooms, decorated in regency style, often serve as the setting of important business lunch meetings as well as romantic dinner dates. The restaurant’s grand spiral staircase leads up to the Phoenix ballroom, which is available for larger parties and special events. A more recent addition to the Orangery is an indoor courtyard space, offering a relaxed dining experience.
OpenTable rankings are divided into categories in which restaurants can be scored by diners. The Orangery was ranked highly as being a romantic dining location as well as special occasion venue. Diners also highly rated the restaurant’s wine list and considered it a great choice for large groups and parties.
