SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Police need help identifying a man caught on surveillance who is accused of stealing cell phones from two Spartanburg stores in less than an hour.

Spartanburg Public Safety officers said June 1 the man was seen inside the Verizon Wireless store located at 119 E. Blackstock Rd. about 6:40 p.m.

The police report said the subject came in the store with another man, spoke to a clerk then browsed the store for a few minutes before leaving. Police said the clerk then noticed two phones missing and surveillance video showed one of them take the phones.

Officers said he stole two cell phones from a display, then was spotted in the AT&T store on E. Main Street about an hour later stealing two more phones. The AT&T manager told police the phones had GPS tracking and they would try to use that information to track the phones.

The man was described as between 18 and 25 years old, 5'10" tall, weighed about 165 pounds and was wearing an orange-striped collared shirt, dark shorts with white vertical stripes on the sides, black and white sneakers and had a neon green cast on his right arm, police said.

Anyone who can identify the subject is asked to call the Spartanburg Public Safety Department at 864-596-2065, 1-888-CRIME-SC or text their tip to TIP649.
