GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The man accused of robbing a Greenville bank while wearing a wig was arrested after police said they found him at a local hospital.

Greenville police said an unidentified, disguised man entered the TD Bank at 2303 Augusta St. about 2 p.m. and showed the teller a note demanding money.

The man was given an undisclosed amount of money and fled the bank without being located, officers said.

Investigators said forensic technicians found a palm print from the teller area where the robbery occurred and they were able to identify the suspect.

The suspect was identified as Timothy Lee Young and was charged with bank robbery, police said. They said they found him on June 22 at a local hospital.

Investigators said Young had been in the hospital after he was in a car crash sometime after the robbery and was not arrested until after he was released.

He was being held at the Greenville County Detention Center on a $35,000 bond.
