Deputies investigate late night shooting in Anderson

ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A man is recovering after Anderson County deputies said he was shot in the back Tuesday night.

Deputies were called to a Carling Drive home in Anderson about 9:30 p.m. after someone reported a shooting.

Deputies said when they arrived on scene they found a man lying on the ground to the side of the house with a bullet wound to his back and cuts on his head.

The victim was transported to the hospital, and deputies said last night he was in serious condition.

Neighbors said they heard loud arguing followed by two gunshots. Investigators are interviewing witnesses and trying to find the shooter.
