Deputies said a Hendersonville man arrested in Alabama was recently brought back to North Carolina after he was charged in connection with filming young girls.

Henderson County deputies said Jose Moreno, 39, was charged with five felony counts of secretly using or installing a photographic imaging device to arouse or gratify sexual desire.

In February, deputies began investigating Moreno after someone said he secretly recorded young girls with a cell phone without their knowledge.

Shortly after the initial report was filed, deputies said Moreno quit his job and fled the area before being questioned and interviewed by detectives.

In April, deputies said Moreno was arrested in Elmore County, AL, on a public intoxication charge and was recently extradited back to Hendersonville.

Moreno is being held on a $25,000 bond at the Henderson County jail.
