Scottie Lunsford (Spartanburg Co. Detention Center)
SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -
Deputies said they arrested a man who was identified after he was caught on a deer camera by the victim.
On June 20, Spartanburg County deputies were called to a property on Clary Drive after the homeowner reported someone had stolen the galvanized metal roof from his home along with other damage.
FOX Carolina spoke with the victim, Jody Clary, who showed the damage and surveillance footage he got of the suspect with a deer camera.
On Thursday, deputies arrested Scottie Lunsford, 37, of Spartanburg and charged him with petit larceny and malicious injury to property.

Clary notified FOX Carolina following Lunsford's arrest and said the surveillance photos helped investigators identify him as the suspect.
While Lunsford's arrest warrants said the damage was less than $2,000, Clary said he expects the multiple days worth of theft and damage to cost him $150,000 to replace.
Lunsford was being held on a $5,000 bond at the county jail.
