Kellie Stenzel first started teaching in the club community about the same time Waterfront Properties started specializing in sales there.

Professional golfer Kellie Stenzel’s extraordinary teaching career began at Admiral’s Cove in Jupiter, Fla.

A young standout from Geneva, N.Y., Stenzel showed her first student how to swing a club at the then-new gated community in 1990.

Today, Stenzel is among golf’s elite instructors and has been heralded year after year by Golf Digest and Golf Magazine as one of the best in the nation. This year was no exception. Stenzel again made Golf Digest’s “Top 50 Best Women Teachers,” as well as Golf Magazine’s “Top 100 Teachers in America.”

Now a teacher at Palm Beach Par-3 and the Palm Beach Country Club, she said the honors are a motivator for her to experiment with new techniques and make each and every student a better, more well-rounded golfer.

Not only has she earned consistent rankings from the two leading industry publications, she also has published three women’s-golf books: The Women’s Guide to Golf: A Handbook for Beginners; The Women’s Guide to Consistent Golf; and The Women’s Guide to Lower Scores. She has contributed articles to Golf for Women magazine and WorldGolf.com.

Today, she splits her time between her homes in Palm Beach Gardens and Brooklyn, N.Y.

Stenzel started playing golf at Furman University in Greenville, S.C., a Division I school. During her senior year, her team made it to the NCAA finals and finished second.

After college, she turned pro and joined several tours, including the Futures Tour, the Ladies European Tour, the Asian Tour, the South African Tour and the Australian Tour. She traveled the world for five years.

It’s been 12 years since Stenzel graced the Jupiter real estate called Admiral’s Cove, now a mature community in northern Palm Beach County that offers waterfront homes in addition to golf-course homes.

Rob Thomson, managing partner of Waterfront Properties and Club Communities, lives in Admiral’s Cove and specializes in home sales there. For information, call Thomson at 561-746-7272.
