All-Time High: The previous all-time hottest temperature recorded at the airport in Greer was 106 set back in July of 1887. As of 4pm Sunday, we reached 107 setting a new all-time high temperature record at the airport.
More Spotty Storms: A few more spotty storms capable of strong winds, quarter-sized hail and very heavy rain will be possible in a few locations through this evening. A severe thunderstorm watch is up until 10PM. We have already received several reports of hail and wind damage leading to more power outages.
We need more rain, but we will take what we can get!
Monday: It looks like more high heat and spotty storms will come our way on Monday, but temperatures won't be as hot as Sunday's were.
4th of July: We'll have slightly less heat with highs ranging in the 90s. It appears likely that fireworks shows won't have to be concerned with fending off rain, but there will be a slim chance for a storm or two late in the day.
