Home destroyed by fire; 2 firefighters injured

A Kartsten Creek Drive destroyed by fire. (July 2, 2012/FOX Carolina)

SIMPSONVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Firefighters were called to a Simpsonville-area home Monday morning that was destroyed by fire.

Fire broke out sometime before 8 a.m. at the home on Kartsten Creek Drive, according to firefighters with Clear Springs Fire Department.

SLIDESHOW: Fire destroys home, damages another

Two firefighters were injured while battling the blaze and the siding on the home next door was also damaged by the flames.

Officials said the injured firefighters received minor burns.
